I have orange ad purple but yellow is my main color. I am very unique, I am unlike any other. I am small but with a big personality. I stand out on my own, that is my individuality. You can place me high on a wall, a shelf, a desk but remember I am a sculpture so don’t go calling me statuesque. I have some hearts and dots and a few other patterns. My colors are so bright I shine brighter than the lanterns.
Alebrijes are fantastical creatures of Mexican folk art that first originated in 1930s in Mexico City by the artisan Pedro Linares. Since then, alebrijes have been introduced by Mexican artists and artisans all over the world and the use of different materials has been employed creating a variety of styles and aesthetics.
The alebrije measures 8″W x 8″L x 4″H. This bright and lively alebrije was carefully handcrafted and painted with bright colors and patterns to bring it to life and give it a personality. It can be placed on any flat surface to keep a watchful eye over the room and your things, all the while becoming the focal point for the brave ones who dare look.
