I am a bull can’t you tell? Don’t be a fool because I can still excel. I am a good cmpanion with horns, wings, and patterns and unlike a real bull, I don’t cause any shatters. I bring color into places and many smiles abound. I draw eyes so they can look at me and they never turn around. I look great on tables and desks, but shelves work just as well. When people start to look at me is as if they were under a spell.
Alebrijes are fantastical creatures of Mexican folk art that first originated in 1930s in Mexico City by the artisan Pedro Linares. Since then, alebrijes have been introduced by Mexican artists and artisans all over the world and the use of different materials has been employed creating a variety of styles and aesthetics.
The alebrije measures 9″W x 11″L x 7″H. This fun and friendly alebrije was carefully handcrafted and painted with bright colors and patterns to bring it to life and give it a personality. It can be placed on any flat surface to keep a watchful eye over the room and your things, all the while becoming the focal point for the brave ones who dare look.
