These images are cut from a 1/4 inch cherry with paisley paper backer over painted board.
My working title for this piece was “The Pretty One”: you see the peacocks are different. One is 88 cuts and the other is 89 cuts. Consequently, one will not tolerate the other and they stand back to back.
A lot has happened over the last year. Although, I do not see the world standing arm in arm, I do believe it is time to speak with hope and kindness. When I took the ‘in situ’ image, over the mantle, I changed the orientation of the peacocks to illustrate my prayer for social growth and change to acceptance of all.
Maybe I am a dreamer: But what is wrong with that.
This cutting is based on an image from S. Good. I have the full permission to create this art from the image.
As with all my work, I used my scroll saw in the construction of the art, no computer guided tools.
For shipping, my first choice is we meet in the DFW metroplex. However, I will use fully insured UPS shipping at a S&H cost of $175.00.
