This image is cut from 1/4 inch board which is inlay to a second board. As there is no glass, the cut work is exposed.
The delicate nature of the neck and kneecap of this piece gave me fits. Cutting was okay and I love the musculature of the neck and chest. But sanding the burrs from the cut image was impossible. My first four attempts resulted in kneecap-less, and then headless dragons. Inlay was the answer. First I cut the dragon. Then I inlay it into another 1/4 inch board. Then I sand off the burrs from cutting. I like it. My grandson likes it. I hope you will like it.
This cutting is based on an image from J. Fowler. I have the full permission to create this art from the image.
As with all my work, I used my scroll saw in the construction of the art, no computer guided tools.
For shipping, my first choice is we meet in the DFW metroplex. However, I will use fully insured UPS shipping at a S&H cost of $87.50.
