Most baskets are meant to be a practical way to contain something. I like to think a basket doesn’t have to work, just be. While you could choose to put something IN this basket, you might want it to ‘just be’.

Coiling is a technique using fabric and/or yarn to cover rope, rope becoming the core. While covering the rope I continually use the fabric to connect one row to the next. In making the continual connections, the piece becomes firm and acquires the desired shape and design.
