This coptic stitched journal features beautiful, vintage cactus flowers on both the front and back covers.  The covers are made from a repurposed hard cover book and the journal is filled with hand dyed papers.  The coptic stitch allows this journal to lay flat when open and there is a ribbon closure to keep it secure when not in use.

This coptic stitched journal features beautiful, vintage cactus flowers on both the front and back covers.  The covers are made from a repurposed hard cover book and the journal is filled with hand dyed papers.  The coptic stitch allows this journal to lay flat when open.  There are 10 signatures with 16 pages (front and back) of hand dyed papers in colors that compliment the covers.  The pages are dyed using inks, dyes and coffee, and the edges are deckled by hand.  There are a total of 160 pages, front and back, in this journal.  The journal measures approximately 7 1/4 high by 4 3/4 wide.  There are clips on each side, with a sari ribbon to keep it closed when not in use.  The clips can also be removed and replaced when desired.

All of my journals are created in a pet friendly, smoke free environment.  These journals are lovingly made by hand, not by machine and this means they may not be “perfect”.  Their slight imperfections only lend to their charm and uniqueness.

Please note that if you are ordering a journal that has dyed papers, there may be a slight aroma to the pages.  Please do not order a journal with this type of paper if you are opposed to this. Also, due to the process used to dye these papers, some of the pages may have indentations or other slight imperfections.

Every effort is made to represent the colors as accurately as possible, but please note that colors can vary by the type of device and display they are viewed on.

Shipping Policy

All items are shipped from Plano, Texas by USPS.  International shipping is not offered.  

Please allow 1 -3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) for your order to be processed for shipping. Please note that processing times are different than shipping times you may see at checkout.  Every effort will be made to fulfill orders as quickly as possible, but I am a workforce of one.  

Shipping times depend on your location.  If you live near me, you will receive your order more quickly than if you live in Hawaii or Alaska.  Shipping delays or other disruptions by USPS are out of my control and need to be taken into account, especially during holidays or other heavier than normal periods for mailing.  While the USPS websites lists 2 - 8 business days for delivery, the USPS does not guarantee deliveries will be within that timeframe.

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

Successfully placed orders will receive an email confirmation with your order details.  If you do not receive an email, please check your spam filter or contact me for confirmation.  If you need assistance with your order, contact me at julie@juliedawndesigns.com.  

No changes will be made to your order once your order has shipped. 

Please ensure that you have entered the correct address.  I am not responsible for non-delivery due to errors in the address you provide.  If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, I will refund the order price plus shipping and ask that you resubmit your order.

If you haven't received your item within 14 days of receiving your shipping confirmation, please contact me and I will look into it for you.

Refund Policy

I want you to be happy with your purchase.  Returns are accepted up to 30 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition.  Returned items must have no visible signs of use. I will then refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return.

Cancellations must be made prior to shipping.  Once the item is shipped, the order cannot be cancelled, but you may return the item and I will refund the purchase price, minus the shipping charges, if the item is unused and in its original condition.  

All of my journals are made in a smoke free, pet friendly home.  Please note that if you are ordering a journal that has dyed papers, there may be a slight aroma to the pages.  Please do not order a journal with this type of paper if you would be opposed to that. 

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email me as soon as possible at julie@juliedawndesigns.com with your order number and a photo of the item's condition.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

A return is described as the action of returning the purchased item for ANY reason of dissatisfaction. The Urban Artist Market site policy requires a 30-day period from date of purchase for such a return and is the minimum policy enforced through the terms of the Urban Artist Market Online. After that date, the vendor has the option to deny a return. If the vendor chooses to extend your return policy it should be noted on the Store Policies page in their gallery.

The Urban Artist Market follows these procedures with a return:

  • The original quoted price of the item will be refunded in full to the buyer for any reason within 30- days of purchase via the merchant account.
  • The initial shipping fee is non-refundable and the buyer will be responsible for paying the return shipping. 
  • The vendor will not be refunded the cost of the listing fee for the product. However, they will be able to reactivate the listing after the return is received free of cost.
  • Urban Artist Market will fully refund the appropriate value fee relating to the vendor membership level.
